Other 2010 Upcoming Events
- "Don't let the flu bag you, get vaccinated today" campaign. The foundation will be sponsoring pharmacy prescription bags that will help answer questions or concerns around flu vaccination. As customers come in to one of the 8 local participating pharmacies their prescriptions will be placed in one of our bags to take home.
- "Cover all your bases – keep your vaccinations up to date" campaign. This is our second year partnering with the Lehigh Valley Immunization Coalition. We will cosponsor Rally Towels to be distributed at the August 21st Iron Pigs game at Coca-Cola Park in PA. As guests enter the park, the LVIC and MFF will be handing out along the rally towels and brochures that contain pertinent information about the flu season.

Past Events and Accomplishments

2009
- November 28 – 3rd Annual Mixer fundraising event - Easton, PA
- November 7-8 - Lehigh Valley Hospital Community Flu Vaccination Clinic. The MARTIN Flu foundation was on hand to distribute our brochures that educate the public about the importance of Annual Influenza Immunization for all. Lehigh Valley Health Network vaccinated the public against seasonal influenza. Canned Goods were also be collected and donated to a local food bank.
- September – Speaker at Health East Hospitals in St Paul, Minnesota for their annual influenza immunization kick off meetings. Branches included – St. Joe's, St. John's, Woodwinds and Bethesda.
- September – Speaker at St. John's UCC of Nazareth at their Influenza Season Informational Session along with the Manager of Infectious Disease at St. Lukes Hospital of Bethlehem, PA
- September – Participant at the Catasauqua School District''s "Meet the Teachers" night. 4 schools in the district allowed us to hand out our brochures to parents & teachers, stream the CDC's Influenza Video, and answer questions.
- August - Participant at the "Emergency Preparedness Expo" in Bethlehem, PA
- August – Partnered with the Lehigh Valley Immunization Coalition during the "Adolescent Immunization Awareness Night" at the AAA Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs Baseball Game.
- August 8 - Second Annual Sanctioned Wiffle Ball Tournament fund raising event at Nazareth Park, Nazareth, PA
- April – Speaker at the Southwest Immunization Coalition Conference, Greensberg, PA
2008
- December – Honored at Philadelphia Flyers Game at a Community Teammate. Flyers presented the MARTIN Flu Foundation with a special jersey.
- November 22 - 2nd Annual Mixer Fundraising Event - Easton, PA
- November 8-9 - Lehigh Valley Hospital Community Flu Vaccination Clinics.
- October 22-23 - Attended the ACIP Meeting at the CDC in Atlanta, GA
- October 6-9 – Speaker at the West Virginia Immunization Network(WIN) Training Session, Charleston, WV. WIN is focused on implementation of an Adolescent Immunization effort campaign for 2008.
- August – Participated along with the Southeastern PA Immunization Coalition in the Immunization Awareness Night at the Philadelphia Phillies Baseball Game 8/25.
- July - Speaker at the 14th Annual PA Immunization Conference, State College, PA
- July - Recipient of the PAIC Immunization Coalition Champion Award for Outstanding Voices for Vaccination.
- April – Sanctioned Wiffle Ball Tournament fund raising event at Nazareth Park, Nazareth, PA
- March – Speaker at the PA Association of School Nurses and Practitioners Conference, King of Prussia, PA
- March – Recipient of the 2007 Outstanding Healthy Community Award from Crayola, LLC.
- February – THE CDC INCREASED THE AGE RECOMMENDATION THRU 18 YEARS OF AGE FOR ANNUAL INFLUENZA VACCINATIONS.
- January - Speaker at the Local Chapter of the PA Immunization Coalition at the Crayola Factory, Easton, PA

2007
- December – Inducted as committee members of LV Hospital Flu Crew.
- December – Participant in the American Lung Association’s Faces of Influenza 2008 Campaign in Philadelphia along side Pro-Football Player Mike Quick and Dr. Tyra Bryant-Stephens, Director Community Asthma Prevention Program at CHOP.
- November – Presentation at Saucon Valley Elementary School Open House Night
- November – Beef and Beer Fund raising event at the Forks Township Eagles.
- November – LVH Community Vaccination Drive Thru Flu Clinic. A two day event that vaccinated over 8,000 individuals against Influenza, a preventable disease.
- October – Attended the ACIP meeting at the CDC in Atlanta, GA. Spoke during the public comment on why it is imperative the ACIP increase the age recommendation thru 18 years of age.
- October – Spoke at the St Luke’s Hospital Nurses Conference

2006
- December – M.A.R.T.I.N. Flu Foundation, granted Non-Profit Status by the U.S. Federal Government.
